Centre for Development and Governance (CDG) was previously known as Centre for Development and Capacity Building (CDG) established in May 2012. It was re-registered under the present new name, with FDRE Authority for Civil Society Organization (ACSO on December 22, 2023). CDG is a civil society not-for-profit organization established by practitioners, civic organization leaders and academia. CDG has 14 years of experience in implementing innovative development projects and projects in Governance (Human Rights, Rule of Law, Peace Building, conflict management and social cohesion). CDG is highly engaged in promoting peace and Good Governance to build economically and socially resilient and politically stable society in Ethiopia

  2. Job Summary
    The Project Manager is a senior position mandated for project planning and management, implement, monitor and report to the program director.
    The incumbent shall plan, organize and implement project activities intended to improve governance system in Oromia vis-à-vis Ethiopia through the concerted actions of key stakeholders. This consists of assessing, documenting and advocacy actions which include:
    • Coordinate documentation of facts and evidences for informed action,
    • Engage stakeholders in practical actions through regular platform that enables brand and mainstream Peace Building, Human Rights, Rule of Law and Good Governance in their respective institutions,
    • Coordinate the creation and production of media contents for Advocacy action,
    • Establish strong partnership with different media groups and facilitate dissemination and amplification messages to address governance issues,
    • Monitoring, documenting and reporting of the project progress and impacts.
  3. Job Requirement

• Minimum of LLB degree or BA in other social sciences (Political Science and International Relations, Economics, Management, Sociology, Journalism and Communication),
• A minimum of two year experience in related areas ( project management, project monitoring and evaluation and related),
• Excellent in project planning and coordination skills,
• Has basic computer skills
• Good communication skills ( It skills, language skills, report writing skills),
• Good command of English, Afan Oromo and Amharic,
• Knowledge in social media content production, graphic illustration design and digital/online advocacy is an advantage

  4. Evaluation and selection factor
