TRAINING ON THE CONCEPT AND PRACTICE OF PEACE AND TOURISM STARTED.

Peace is a pivotal quality for any society. In a diversified society like ours, even though it can show beauty in the community, it can also be used as a reason for conflict and can cause great destruction. But it can be avoided through different methods and communication skills.

CDCB has started a three-day training on this day on “Peace-Tourism”, which is part of the project “Strengthening and Scaling up of Youth Peace Agents (ORO031)” for Batu volunteers, which briefly discusses how to participate as a peace advocate volunteer through tourism. In today’s training session, various reasons for conflict are being discussed, as well as community relations pertaining to conflict.

The participants shared their expectations for the training, stating that they expected to learn more about the concept and practice of peace and tourism, as well as improve their ability to recognize diversity in their community and prevent violence that may arise as a result of our differences and further promote peace. The training will be cascaded for the coming two days in Batu Oromia state University.
