Center for Development and Capacity Building (CDCB) has organized a Panel Discussion on The Negative Impact of Conflicts in Oromia and its way-out.

The panel discussion was conducted among policy makers, senior academia, opinion makers and victims of conflict to have an overview of conflict at macro level. It is a platform to collect inputs for the short Film for Awareness Raising on the conflicts in Oromia to raise awareness on the negative impact of conflict among the public, policy makers and political groups through showcasing conflicts in different parts of Oromia. The ultimate objective of the initiative is to contribute in building momentum for dialogue-driven solutions for conflicts in Oromia.

Participants of the panel discussion were relevant sector Bureau leadership, senior scholars from 4 universities ( Addis Ababa University , Ambo University, Wallaga University and Salale University ) community leaders (Abba Gadas and Hadha Siqees), federal parliamentarians and victims of conflict.This project is supported by USAID/Office of Transition Initiatives Ethiopia.
